Terms of Service — Idle Nebula Drift

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the game Idle Nebula Drift ("the Game"), published by PaintedChaos ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

1. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from (Apple App Store or Google Play).

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorized software to gain an unfair advantage;
• manipulate your device clock or save data to abuse timed rewards or the economy;
• choose a public screen name (shown on the leaderboard) that is offensive, harassing, hateful, impersonating, or otherwise objectionable — we may reset or remove such names and restrict leaderboard access;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Game except where the law expressly permits;
• access the Game in violation of applicable laws or your app store's terms.

3. Your account and save data

The Game automatically creates an anonymous account and backs up your progress to our cloud so it isn't lost — no sign-in is required. You may optionally add an email and password (Settings → Account) to recover your account on another device. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account. We are not responsible for save data lost due to uninstalling, clearing app data, device issues, or your own account deletion. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data.

4. Purchases, virtual currency, and refunds

• The Game is free to play and offers optional in-app purchases processed by Apple or Google (managed via RevenueCat). We do not handle your payment details.
• Purchases may grant virtual items, currency, or entitlements (e.g., gems, passes, ad-free, warden packs). These have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and are licensed to you for use within the Game only.
• Some entitlements are time-limited and non-renewing (e.g., a 30-day pass that does not auto-renew); this is disclosed at the point of purchase.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies; please contact the relevant store. You can re-grant previously purchased entitlements via the in-game Restore Purchases function.
• We may add, change, or discontinue items, prices, and game balance over time.

5. Advertising

All ads in the Game are opt-in rewarded ads (Google AdMob) — you choose to watch an ad in exchange for a reward, and no ads are forced or shown automatically. Where required, we present a consent prompt before personalized ads. The optional ad-free purchase lets you claim those watch-ad rewards instantly (with a small bonus) without watching.

6. Updates and availability

We may update, modify, or discontinue the Game or any feature at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

7. Disclaimers

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or virtual items. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Game will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You may stop playing and delete the Game at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., purchases already made, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Game evolves. Continued play after an update constitutes acceptance. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. These Terms do not limit any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
